PRP
Smile Lines
and Smoker’s Lines
As we age, we lose both collagen and fat in the face, both of these make up the structural integrity of the face. As this diminishes, wrinkles appear. This effect is always more discernable in the mobile areas of the face (eyes and mouth). In the region around the mouth this often leads to smile lines (the “wifi-signal” lines around the corner of the mouth) and/or “smoker’s lines” (the small vertical wrinkles in between the upper lip and nose). The key to treating them both is to first restore some of the deeper tissue volume to regain that structural integrity, This is an important step because it will ensure longevity of the results and will help keep the signs of aging at bay. After that, and this can be done in the same sitting, we add a finer filler to smoothen out the superficial wrinkles in the skin.
